Event and bus tour application data
- Application information and an optional portrait submitted with an event or bus tour application
- Purpose: application review, identity confirmation, participant safety, and communications
Retention period for event application data
Portraits and personal data submitted with a BBQ event or bus tour application are deleted or anonymized 12 months after the application date. Payment amounts, order numbers, payment dates, and other records required by law or for accounting audits are retained only for the required period.
Free consultation request data
For consultation requests, we use your name, email address, preferred language and optional consultation summary to verify the email, arrange consultations, respond to paid-membership interest and prevent abuse. Google reCAPTCHA protects the form. Submitting or verifying a request does not create a member account.
Only when our team authorizes onboarding do we create a non-member onboarding account upon acceptance of a time-limited personal invitation. We generally anonymize identifying data in closed, rejected or expired consultation requests about 30 days after receipt. Onboarding, contract, payment and legally required records follow their respective retention periods.
